Who Is Reuben?

I've owned a 1982 Kawasaki 750cc 4 stroke, a 2 stroke pocket-bike-engine-mounted pedal bike, and a 1983 900cc Yamaha Seca sportbike.

I've been learning about Tecumseh, Briggs&Stratton, Kohler and Kawasaki small engines since I was 14.

I've had quads, miniquads and minibikes before. I'm invested in Predator 212cc single cylinders and I have researched dropping a 1.6L VW Diesel into a 111 John Deere Lawn Tractor.

I also have experience with running Kubota 75 skidsteers, Bobcat skidsteers, multiple kinds of Forklifts, Fendt tractors, side by sides, zoom booms and other engine drives.

Here's a little about my family background:

I'm the 10th sibling from a Dutch family of 11. An interesting fact- My humor and vocabulary can be lacking and confusing. A common sentence people tell me is, "Reuben... Huh!?!" 

or "Reuben, I think you need to think about what you just said because that does NOT make sense."

Not sure if that's a 10th-sibling thing, however I compensate for my vocabulary by talking with my hands and pictures (professionally, I'll use CAD).

Also, My sense of humor?? You can often find me laughing to myself because I think I'm funny.

Another thing is I'm happily married to my wife Faith (June 2024).

All in all, I'm a happy family guy who wants to work with yah, and I'll have a good time doing it. 

A couple skills I'm aiming to research for customers immediately are some type of quick metal-casting/metal-recycling methods, horse/cattle hoof trimming, HD diesel maintenance, residential plumbing maintenance, appliance repair, and HVAC maintenance.  I'm shooting for the ability to teach online and run clinics for metalworking skills in the next 5-10 years. My general idea is to buy the associated RDP trades books and spend some time under an RDP teacher for each of those skills. 

Here's some more things I'm hoping to learn personally in the next years:

1. What builds Reuben's Gearhead Services for its customers.

2. What goes on in the world of tanks, planes, helicopters, trains,  hybrid and electric vehicles, cranes, nuclear energy, HD earthmoving equipment (Cat and Komatsu brands), Online SEO, Online paid ads and organic ads marketing, in-person networking, Farming and crop management, metal and plastic and other forms of 3D printing, internal combustion/hydrogen combustion mechanics, blacksmithing, forge welding, line boring, portable line boring and machining, plumbing, hydraulic power units, residential and commercial electrical work, carpentry, any other trade that's applicable to the average joe, Formula racing, any nitro-engine remote-controlled racing, rally racing and e-sports racing. (I'm interested in day-of or week-long clinics for these subjects).

3. What goes on in the world of Manufacturing Engineering, Structural Engineering, Ecological Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Water Science Engineering, Explosion Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automotive and Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace and Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, Nanoengineering, Robotics Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, and more (I would buy 1-month long school clinics for this if they could drive any sort of measurable success for the business).

4. (I'm also interested in renting Red Deer Polytechnic books for all of these Engineering courses if there are no clinics).

Here's what I want to specialize in:

1. Being able to understand what is going on around me physically and systematically  (In Space, on ground, in air, or in water). I'm aiming for the ability to figure out what's wrong with anything on an acreage, in a shop, on a ranch, in a business, or on a farm and know how to maintain, fix and improve it properly to code (with the right qualifications). 

2. And being able to make a powerful positive impact in the recreational vehicle world around Lacombe with that understanding.

Here's why:

1. I want to survive in any atmosphere that God puts me in, and I think a basic understanding of everything is able to apply an impact that any other applicable person would.

2. I want to learn and succeed with the right people around my wife and me.

3. I'm hoping to jump into the world of racing and helping my buddies by being an onsite racing mechanic with the proper tools pretty soon, and I need some HD engineering to back me up if I do that.

You probably think I'm crazy by now, this is just me telling you about who I am. I like being the person that people can ask for help, and writing this all down brings me closer to that extraordinary goal of accomplishing it all.

Finding the right guys for this line of education is huge to me. I don't want to specialize in all these subjects, either. I want to figure out who is better than me for quality work around Alberta, though, and that entails a basic knowledge of what needs to be done for specific recreational projects.
